The Sewing Man is a live performance by Dong Kyu Kim in which the artist sews a tapestry of receipts collected in the United States while on an H-1B visa working in the New York fashion industry. A way of documenting his time and status, Dong Kyu Kim invites audience members to assist in cataloguing collected receipts before they are added to the tapestry.
