Other Pieces of Spaces, 2012

An installation at the Napoleon Gallery (renamed Pink Noise Projects), Other Pieces of Spaces is inspired by Georges Perec’s book “Species of Spaces and Other Pieces.” Using suburban home building and fencing materials, this work takes the form of two obelisks watching each other between panes of glass. The work is a tongue-in-cheek reflection of suburban fears and fixations on property and privacy.

The obelisks were also shown in an altered form at the Hicks Art Center and Gallery at Bucks County Community College, the Sculpture Grounds at Abington Art Center, and were eventually relocated to a private location in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.
